Private Accessible 5 hour Barbados Shore Excursion
Tour Description
The Private Accessible 5 hour Barbados Shore Excursion offers you a unique opportunity to experience the beautiful Barbados without having to worry about accessibility! From the comfort of your accessible van, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the island, visit significant historical attractions and get a feel for local Barbados life and culture - all in one day! There will be plenty of opportunities to get out of the van and explore the different sites and capture beautiful memorable Barbados photos.
Begin this accessible Barbados shore excursion by meeting your friendly guide/driver at a designated meeting spot near the Barbados cruise dock. You'll then board the fully accessible van and begin your comfortable, beautiful scenic ride along the coast.
Escorted by your friendly private English speaking guide, you'll experience some of the most beautiful sites of the island! Start out with a visual treat at the North Point of the Island, where the gentle Caribbean meets the wild Atlantic. See the beautiful cliffs, waves as they pound the rocky shore and water entering the old nature made caves. You'll have time to take some beautiful vacation pictures, lean more about the site and check out the local vendors selling arts, crafts and island jewelry.
Next on this beautiful accessible Barbados driving tour, you'll experience Cherry Tree Hill – a small village in the parish of Saint Andrew. Cherry Tree Hill is located approximately 850 ft. above sea level and was originally named after the cherry trees that was once lined up on the hill. However, today, these have been replaced by beautiful mahogany trees housing several wild green monkeys. Most of Barbados is flat, so this is a unique opportunity to ascend to one of its highest peaks for a serene and breathtaking view of what is best described as a “photographer’s heaven”. After a stop at Cherry Tree Hill, you'll continue to the close by Morgan Lewis Windmill, the only intact sugar mill remaining in Barbados. Overlooking the eastern coastline of the island, the mill stands as a symbol of the island’s history and culture, and includes an exhibit of the equipment used to produce sugar at the time when the industry was run by wind power generated from mills.
Your Accessible Barbados shore excursion continues to the beautiful scenic East Coast Road for more breathtaking views of Atlantic waves breaking over rocks and reefs that form small pools close to the shore. You will make a stop at Bathsheba, a small community of fishermen and their families. This quaint little village offers seaside cottages, local rum shops, restaurants and many other things to see. Legend has it that Bathsheba, who was the wife of King David, bathed in milk to keep her skin beautiful and soft. The surf covered white waters of the village Bathsheba, which is very rich in minerals, is said to resemble Bathsheba’s milk bath in both appearance and health giving value.
During your accessible Barbados cruise excursion, there will also be some time for a delicious lunch at an accessible restaurant (cost not included).
