Time and traffic permitting you may be able to visit the inside too!
The first stop of the day will be Miradouro de Sao Pedro, a panoramic view point from where you can admire the beauty of the city. Next, you’ll continue to Belem, a picturesque district to the west of Lisbon, where many of the capital’s most notable and important tourist attractions are located. Have your camera ready to capture the beautiful Tower of Belem, which has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site!
Continue your Lisbon adventure with a memorable interior visit to the beautiful Jeronimo’s Monastery, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Monastery is one of the most decorative churches of Portugal and an absolute must visit when in Lisbon! As you explore the site together, your guide will share the fascinating history of this spectacular Monastery with you. The inside of the Monstery is not accessible but the guests can visit the Church there.
After exploring the Monastery, its time to return to your accessible van to continue your drive along the beautiful River Tagus with a view on the April 25th Bridge, an impressive suspension bridge connecting the city of Lisbon with the south bank of the Tagus River.You’ll also pass the enormous monument Christ the King statue before making a stop at the famous traditional market and food court, Mercado da Ribeira. Here you’ll have time to enjoy a delicious lunch from one of the many vendors and restaurants inside the establishment.
After lunch, your accessible Lisbon tour continues with a scenic drive past Praca do Commercio, Lisbon’s mighty plazas positioned on the edge of the Tagus River. Your driver will take you along the route of Tram No. 28 up the hill to Alfama, the oldest district ofLisbon.
