  • Conducted accessibility assessments for 34 facilities across hotels, attractions, and restaurants in the Charlevoix area.
  • Performed digital accessibility reviews for the destination’s websites to enhance online visitor experiences.
  • Delivered four accessibility training modules for hospitality and attraction staff.
  • Facilitated a Leadership Workshop to guide community leaders in improving accessibility.

Charlevoix engaged Sage Inclusion to evaluate and improve accessibility across its tourism network, from lakeside hotels and restaurants to shops and attractions. Over seven months, Sage assessed 34 facilities and conducted digital accessibility reviews to enhance online usability for travelers with disabilities.

Five training modules and a Sage Accessibility Leadership Workshop helped local businesses and community leaders adopt inclusive service practices and align with ADA and ISO standards. These combined efforts advanced compliance, improved staff readiness, and helped Charlevoix earn recognition through Sage Certification, strengthening its position as one of northern Michigan’s most accessible destinations.
